Smoky Hill Education Service Center is seeking a Special Education Teacher (9-12) for the 2022-2023 school year for its program at Lawrence Gardner High School in Topeka.

Lawrence-Gardner High School (LGHS), a Kansas-accredited high school on the campus of the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex (KJCC), and is located in Topeka, Kansas. Teachers and staff work with students from all across Kansas who are temporary residents of KJCC to earn a high school diploma or their GED. Our professional staff works diligently to provide our youth the best educational opportunities as well as attention to their SECD skills. In addition, we offer students the opportunity to earn certifications through Washburn Institute of Technology.

Requirements for this position:
Valid Kansas teaching license for the content area desired.
Ability to work well with students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Proficiency using technology as an educational tool and for communication.
Ability to work well as part of a team in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
