Smiths Group Hiring for Finance Business Partner Job at London, England Full Time

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and well-rounded chartered accountant to join our Common Business Services Functions (CBS)(Non-IT) based at our Head Offices in London. Your mission in this position will be to support the decision-making and the preparation of relevant management information processes, relating to existing and/or new contracts, through to more significant decisions relating to Group’s contracts and related budgets.

In this highly visible and influential role, you will provide our BIS & CMS Finance Director and other leaders of the Group Functions such as Group Tax, HR and Procurement with high quality financial and management information to improve the decision-making processes.

To be successful in this role, it is envisaged that you will be a fully qualified accountant with good management accounting and reporting experience gained either in a FTSE 100/250 environment. Ideally, you will be commercially-minded individual and be adept at presenting financial information to a wide and varied stakeholder base. Confident and outgoing, you’ll relish working as a trusted financial advisor to budget holders and be able to tailor your delivery accordingly. Excellent IT skills, in particular Excel, would be a particular advantage.

• Maintain a strong financial control environment, ensuring that policies & procedures are adhered to by Common Business Services & BIS employees.
• Own the Service Costing and Recharge models, to deliver full cost transparency
• Manage the monthly financial and management reporting process in order to provide accurate and actionable data to Functional and Corporate Management
• Work with stakeholders to identify and implement initiatives to improve value from Common Business Services spend and support the finance & business cost optimization agenda
• Support divisional dialogue (working with HR, Finance, BIS & Procurement Managers) in order to reduce Common Business Services spend and improve customer service
• Own and manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of information to Group
• Statutory Reporting/Audit Management (external and internal) for the legal entities in the UK and US
• Provision of treasury support for the Common Business Services functions
• Maintenance of the CBS Transfer Pricing policy and work closely with Group and Corporate Tax as required, including support for tax audits

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), part qualified or QBE with a grounded experience of commercial accounting.
