Position Summary
The Software Development Manager works closely with the delivery team to ensure the success of implementation projects and software releases. The incumbent is expected to be a hands-on technical manager who understands and sets a high bar for all parts of the software development and deployment life-cycle including: design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow a diverse team of software developers.
• Manage, identify, recruit, and onboard software development team of 6-9 developers.
• Provide guidance and mentorship on software architecture.
• Involve in architecture design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.
• Analyze solutions to ensure they will be interoperable, performant, and maintainable.
• Research technologies that will be used in new and existing modules of the solution.
• Collaborate with other cross-functional teams to deliver new features and capabilities

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Technical software background, with at least 3 years managing software development (front end) teams.
• Experience with Agile Software Development.
• Lead, manage or supervise a minimum team of 5 members.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with many team members local and remote.
• Knowledge of the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Healthcare domain experience is an asset.
• Experience in HL7 (V2, FHIR) is an asset.
• Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
