About You

• Deliver, as part of an Agile Delivery Team, secure, scalable, performant cloud services and applications
• Develop reusable, efficient, and testable code, modules, and libraries
• Design and deliver APIs supporting our front end and mobile technology platforms
• Interface with other teams in Tech, Data, and Product to understand and deliver new solutions and services
• Actualize security and performance as priorities, not afterthoughts
• Manage and create useful documentation as part of the delivery process

Required Skills/Experience

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience in Python, Java or a similar language in an Agile (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP) environment
• 3+ years of relevant framework experience (Django, Flask, Pyramid, Spring, etc)
• 2+ years of ORM experience such as SQLAlchemy
• Understanding of cloud (AWS) services such as RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambdas
• Expertise in templating such as Jinja or Mako
• Working knowledge of front end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Hands-on experience with data integration, RESTful APIs, logging, and performance/profiling
• Experience with git (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket)

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience in microservice engineering/architecture
• AWS Certification (Associate Level)
• Experience with automated integration and unit testing
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab pipelines, Ansible, and/or Jenkins
