Finance Controller Description
Smart Wave Solar is growing fast and we need employees who will work hard and grow with us! We install residential solar in Utah and Colorado. Our team’s vision at Smart Wave Solar is to be the most innovative solar company that is passionate about customer & employee happiness. During 2021 alone, we installed over 600 residential solar systems and became one of Utah’s fastest growing companies.
We need someone who can get our accounting systems cleaned up and policies in place. Our current accounting team needs someone who can manage them and answer their questions on best policy and practices., But more than just overseeing other people–we need someone who can jump into the trenches with them.

Finance Controller Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration (preferred)
3+ years related experience & education
Management and supervisory experience
Business professional written and verbal communication skills including Microsoft suite
Strong understanding of bookkeeping & double-entry accounting
Proficient in NetSuite (accounting, inventory and project management modules)

Finance Controller Responsibilities
Manage the staff responsible for billing, collections, payroll, inventory and budget preparation
Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions
Oversee preparation of business activity reports and annual budgets
Administer and supervise online banking and cash management
Accounting ledger maintenance and reconciliation of accounts
Report to CFO and Management and present recommendations on financial objectives and policies
Work with CFO to provide financial analysis on operations

Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
