Director of Accounting Operations

$95,000-105,000 with up to 25% bonus based on tenure and performance

The Director of Accounting Operations will support the VP & Controller and will be responsible for overseeing the general accounting function. This position will manage the procure to pay and order to cash functions utilizing our ERP system. This position will manage the accounting operations for the company. This position needs to be able to take general direction and guidance as it relates to strategic initiatives and business challenges and provide insightful analysis.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Provide support to Controller and lead the corporate accounting function, guiding, training and mentoring the staff of 4.
• Oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company accounting, billing, cash collections, balance sheet management, revenue recognition, expense and accrual process.
• Support the monthly accounting close process through preparation and review of journal entries and analysis.
• Provide accounting services company.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Review and reconcile balance sheet, general ledger, accounts receivables and accounts payables.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all accounting and financial information
• Identify and implement efficiencies and best practices across all areas of accounting.
• Ensures the ERP system continues to operate as required. Involved in validating/designing suggested changes to ensure accounting requirements continue to be met.
• Provide support during the annual audit.
• Provide historical accounting research related to strategic and special projects.
• Special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of accounting experience.
• Experience managing a team of 3-6 people.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards in a simplified manner.
• Must be able to Prioritize & Meet Strict Deadlines with the Initiative to Achieve Results
• Strong understanding of GAAP.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting
• CPA license, preferred.
• Strong MS Office Suites experience, with comprehensive knowledge of financial ERP systems such as QuickBooks and NetSuite, Oracle and systems development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
