They have recently kicked off a 5-year development plan that will change the international landscape in their area of expertise.

About the Role
An exciting, newly created, permanent opportunity has become available to take a key role within delivery of project management for our R&D initiatives for 2022 and beyond.
This is a Junior to Mid-Tier role. The Project Manager will coordinate all aspects of the delivery of multiple R&D projects within a multidisciplinary electronics design team. Reporting to the Engineering Program Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project and management of the working environment to which the project is evolving.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Managing a range of R&D Projects with a mix of Software Development, Hardware Development and System Integration.
• Setting up the Project:
• Identifying and choosing a suitable project framework
• Liaising with the organisation to secure the required engineering skills
• Participating in Foundation and Feasibility Assessments.
• Establishing Project Roles and Responsibilities and ensuring participation.
• Delivering of the Project within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Assessing Project Risks and ensure that all requirements are understood and accepted
• Establishing solid communications of project deliverables and status.
• Ensuring effective deployment of engineering resources
• Ensuring the Company’s design procedure and gating process is followed
• Tracking performance metrics and ensuring consistency amongst projects
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing organisational change.

About You:

• Bachelor Degree in Electronics or related field
• Business and Project Management training is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of Hardware and Software Development environment.
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and product lifecycle management.
• Understanding of Project Engineering/Management and Business Management practices.
• Understanding with Agile Project Frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with multidisciplinary and geographically diverse teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to engage, influence and negotiate.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Exposure to Jira and Microsoft Project is beneficial but not essential.
