As a Part-Time Web Developer at Smart Nora you will help us expand and improve the user experience on our e-commerce site. You will be on a 40 hour per month retainer.

About the Role
As a Part-Time Web Developer at Smart Nora you will help us expand and improve the user experience on our e-commerce site. You will be on a 40 hour per month retainer.
What you would do:
Create professional looking web pages given content
Extend Shopify and Wordpress themes
Create A/B testing strategies
Maintain and support existing websites and web pages
Participate in designing strategies for Marketing and SEO purposes
Work collaboratively with the design, marketing and engineering teams
Our Requirements
Experience with Object Oriented Programming
Experience with Software Development processes (SDLC)
Experience with CMS and e-commerce systems such as Wordpress and Shopify
Experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript
Experience with Design tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, inVision etc
Experience with SEO website design
Experience with lean principles such as A/B testing
Majoring in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Web Design or related field.
If you worked here this past month here are some things you would have been involved in:
Meeting with the product team on Monday to plan and prioritize and later getting together with the entire team for the weekly Kick-off.
Caught up the the team on Wednesday ” ️Tea Time” to socialize, celebrate a milestone, play a game, or teach everyone about something you are passionate about.
Wrapping up the week with the entire team by sharing the accomplishments of the week, watching the latest customer testimonial video together, sharing inspiration, and more.
Benefits
Salary Range: $30-40/hour CAD. Our salaries are competitive with industry standards. Salary will be commensurate with your work experience.

The Interview Process
Application Review: We will carefully review your responses to our questions and review your work samples.
Interview – 40 mins: Introduction + Work Experience review. In a 40 minute video call we will get to know you, and answer any questions you might have. We will dedicate 20 minutes to dive into your most relevant projects and experiences.
