As a member of the accounting team, the Senior Accountant will assist in many areas including billing, payables, and collections. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for invoicing, posting payments, reconciling balances, assisting customers, and processing invoices. A successful candidate for this position must be well organized and demonstrate a strong capacity for following up and completing tasks. Additionally, the candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to interact with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform accounts receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition. Generate and send out invoices. Research and analyze billing/accounts receivable issues by interfacing with various departments. Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted. Experience with Amazon, Houz, and other e-commerce platforms helpful.
• Receive all incoming checks, prepare weekly cash collections report with aged receivables report; assist with collections when needed.
• Actively reviews the AR ledger to pinpoint and research short payments, skipped invoices, and past due balances.
• Receive all incoming invoices, match invoices to Purchase Orders, route for approvals, enter into accounting system, prepare weekly accounts payable listing, identify vendors for payment, insure timely accurate payment of vendor invoices
• Assist with bank activities, prepare weekly cash report, prepare cash transfer request, reconcile cash accounts and route checks for signature
• Reconcile and follow up on customer account balances
• Prepare daily deposits and/or payment postings for AR payments, as needed
• Assist with month-end closing
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures, maintain month end account reconciliation

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 4-8 years of experience in the Accounting field.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required, some familiarity with ERP systems a plus.

· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Self-motivated with effective time management skills and ability to work independently.

· Ability to analyze tasks and assess situations to determine appropriate course of action.

· Respect and maintain confidentiality, professional protocols and individual privacy.

NetSuite knowledge a plus

Pay: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
