Slovenski Camps Hiring for Summer Seasonal Office Manager or Assistant Office Manager Full Time

Office Manager: Overnight Summer Camp in Maine seeking to hire an office manager and an assistant office manager to do 6 hours of administration per day for 6 days per week. Duties will include:

– Creating and updating cabin lists, attendance lists, and staff assignment schedule.

– Internet shopping to procure camp supplies.

– Coordinating travel for airport pick-ups.

– Preparing camp and staff for annual state inspection checklist.

– Responding to parental phone calls and e-mail messages about travel, cabin lists, lost & found, and homesick campers.

– Answering phone calls from potential camp families who have questions about camp and about signing up for camp.

– Sending out weekly e-mail templates of information to the families of campers who will be arriving for the next session of camp.

COMPENSATION: Round trip travel support included if traveling more than 400 miles to camp. Room & board included. Office Managers possibly living in camper cabin with campers and cabin counselors, and possibly living in a staff cabin. One day off per week. Two hours each day able to do (and learn) camp activities such as swimming, kayaking, sailing, paddle-boarding, wind-surfing, hiking, running, etc. Salary range depending on experience between $400 & $500 per week.

COVID-19 considerations:
We hosted over 1,000 campers for one-week sessions in 2020 and 2021, and did not have one camper arrive with, or catch, any Covid virus. Camp life is lived outside, and inside screened-in cabins. Fresh air has been good for camper and staff health.
