We’re Slice, Adelaide’s only dedicated content agency. 

We create original, cutting-edge content for websites, social media, digital marketing, videos, campaigns and more. Everything we do is dynamic, optimised for search and multi-platform, and designed to get brands seen by the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Slice was founded in London in 2018 and is based in Adelaide. Our clients range from tech start-ups and local businesses to global companies. We’re growing – fast! – and are looking for a social media specialist to plan, write, create, publish, manage, and moderate content for our clients across various social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

Who you are

You’re a social media native who loves and consumes everything digital. You spend more time on Instagram than you know you should, know what’s trending on Reels and TikTok on any given day, and know your way around scheduling tools with your eyes shut. 

You’ll be tapped into what’s driving conversation, what people are interacting with, and what technology they’re using to stay connected. You’re insatiably curious, and you love finding out what makes people tick. 

You’re a self-starter, comfortable with failure, can move and iterate fast, and get excited by the challenge of creating groundbreaking social content that helps brands stand out from the crowd. 

You will be an exceptionally strong copywriter, and know how to flex your tone for different audiences. You’ll have perfect spelling and grammar, and can pick up an errant apostrophe from a mile away. 

You’ll have some analytics experience, you’ll need to feel comfortable pulling data, analysing the performance of your content and using those insights to iterate and improve your content.

You don’t need to be a trained designer (you’ll be working alongside a visual content creator dedicated to creating images and assets for your social channels) but you will need a sharp eye for what kind of imagery commands attention in the feed. You’ll need to be confident briefing in creative to our designer, as well as using Canva (or the Adobe suite) to create simple social assets. Experience creating video content for Reels and TikTok is a must.

This role would suit someone who’s had 2-3 years’ experience in social media and is looking for their next challenge in a creative, collaborative agency environment. 

Your role and responsibilities

• Develop and manage social media content plans and strategies
• Work collaboratively with the Slice team to strategically plan content to achieve business goals and user needs
• Be the guardian of our clients’ social channels
• Develop an understanding of our clients’ audiences and brand identities
• Write clear, compelling and on brand copy for multiple social media accounts
• Work collaboratively with our visual content creator to create visual assets. This includes briefing in creative into them, as well as creating some simple social assets on your own using Canva or the Adobe suite
• Publish, manage and moderate social channels on behalf of our clients on a daily basis (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, X and TikTok)

You’ll have:

• 2-3 years’ experience in a social media role. This may be at another agency, for the media, in-house or for your own brand – we welcome all kinds of experience 
• Demonstrable experience planning, writing and creating social media content
• Technical know-how across Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Pinterest and TikTok
• Experience working with social media planning tools and scheduling software tools
• Experience in adapting and refining a brand voice to suit any situation or platform
• A fearless command of the English language and impeccable grammar
• A ‘can-do attitude’ and great organisational skills
• Big picture thinking but also attention to detail
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills
• Excellent project management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
