We’re Slice, Adelaide’s only dedicated content agency. 

We create original, cutting-edge content for websites, social media, digital marketing, videos, campaigns and more. Everything we do is dynamic, optimised for search and multi-platform, and designed to get brands seen by the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Slice was founded in London in 2018 and is now based in Adelaide. Our clients range from tech start-ups and local businesses to global companies, including RAA, Coopers, The Australian Centre for Social Innovation, Renew Adelaide, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, the City of Mitcham, Health Partners, Windmill Productions, Brauer, and more. We’re looking for a brilliant copywriter / content producer to plan, write, and publish copy and content for our clients across multiple channels, including digital media, EDMs, websites, social media (Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook & TikTok), and print.

Who you are

You’re a whip smart copywriter and content producer who’s able to translate complex ideas into a compelling story across formats and channels. You love and consume content, and you’re tapped into what’s trending right now with consumers, what’s driving conversation, what people are interacting with, and what technology they’re using to stay connected. You’re insatiably curious, and you love talking to people and finding out what makes them tick. 

Most importantly, you’re a skilled writer and content creator. You’ll need to shift seamlessly between writing copy for websites, crafting long-form articles, building brand positioning and narratives, ideating creative concepts for campaigns, conducting audience research, creating social content, optimising for SEO, writing video scripts, and helping the Slice content director devise content strategies. 

A key client you’ll be working with is an industry-leader in the motoring/automative space, so an interest in cars would be a huge benefit.

You have:

• A fearless command of the English language and impeccable grammar
• Big picture thinking but also attention to detail
• An obsession with understanding complex problems and making them simple to understand
• Excellent research skills
• Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills
• Experience in adapting and refining a brand voice to suit any situation or platform
• Demonstrable experience planning, writing and creating content (this may be at an agency, in-house or in the media)
• Excellent project management, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• An interest in content strategy (or a willingness to learn)
• An interest in motoring and cars (or a willingness to learn)

Your responsibilities

• Own and evolve our clients’ tone of voice
• Be a guardian of our clients’ brand, and brand guidelines
• Proactively and strategically plan content to achieve business goals and user needs
• Create, own and manage content calendars for our clients
• Develop an understanding of our clients’ audiences and brand identities
• Write clear, compelling and on brand copy and content for various mediums, including digital media, websites, EDMs, social media, and print
• Understand the fundamentals of SEO and write search optimised copy
• Create content for social media, including feed posts, stories, and reels 
• Brief and commission external suppliers, like designers, videographers and photographers
• Edit and proofread copy
• Manage content projects, including commissioning, briefing, editing and execution
• Publish, manage and moderate social channels on behalf of our clients
• Contribute to creative concepts
• Actively research our clients’ competitors so that you’re always aware of their activity and trends, and use this to develop creative insights
