Sleeping Rainbow Adventures Hiring for Outdoor Adventure Guide at Torrey, Utah Full Time

We are an Outdoor Adventure Tour Operator located in Torrey, Utah, primarily serving Capitol Reef National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. We offer Jeep tours, stargazing tours, guided hikes, hiker shuttles, yoga, and plan to expand into backpacking and multi-day base camps- we are mainly looking for a Jeep and hiking tour guide, but if you have other skills like stargazing or yoga we could use you there too. We are looking for a tour guide with a passion for the outdoors and excellent customer service/people skills (guiding experience is not required). We, the owners, are in our early 30s and have years of experience working for the National Park Service and guiding in southern Utah. We aim to provide a fun, high-energy experience for our guests that is also highly informative on the local geology, history, and ecology- willingness to learn this information is a must. Excellent driving skills also required and have a clean driving record (we will check this)- we can provide training on the 4×4 skills but prefer you have driven off-road before. 

Our season runs from March until November, with peak months in May and September. You can expect 30-40 hours of work per week. Pay starts at $18 an hour, but if you have additional skills and experience we could start you as high as $30 an hour. Plus great tips! Right now we are looking for someone to start as soon as possible and work this September until the beginning of November. And if that goes well and you are interested in coming back next March for the following season, with possibly promotions, bonuses, and raises. 

We ask that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and are willing to wear a mask if your guest asks you to on your tour. Must be 21+. We will cover the costs to get CPR/first aid training. Must be able to hike 3-5 miles in the sun and heat of southern Utah.

Housing and utilities are provided. A private room in a shared house – must keep clean.
