Sleek Hiring for Senior Accountant – eCommerce at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Sydney.

You will manage a portfolio of high-value clients, including eCommerce and SMEs, delivering world-class service as their primary contact for all accounting needs. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the smooth delivery of their bookkeeping, BAS preparation, and collaborating with the tax team for their tax returns.

A prior solid experience in accounting for ecommerce companies, and expertise of all the corresponding solutions (a2x, amazon, shopify, stripe, paypal…) are a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide accounting services to a portfolio of Australian SME clients
• Manage bookkeeping operations in liaison with the client and the bookkeeping team
• BAS preparation and submission
• Design, implement, execute and iterate processes to streamline the overall operations at Sleek
• Advising and engaging with clients on various accounting & taxation matters
• Liaise with the ATO on behalf of clients for technical questions
• Explore new solutions destined to enhance overall efficiency
• Tax return collaboration with the tax team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years experience as a practising accountant and tax practitioner for sole traders and SMEs
• Complete mastery of the Xero suite – it holds no secrets for you anymore.
• Effective client servicing & communication skills
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset and the intention to launch your accounting practice at some point. We can help you with that!
• High degree of professionalism & interpersonal skills, you love interacting with clients and supporting them with their accounting

Our office is based in Sydney near Hyde Park.
