I have been retained by Lithionics Battery ( www.lithionicsbattery.com ) to help them find a Vice President of Sales. Headquartered in Clearwater, FL, Lithionics is a leading provider of lithium-ion batteries to the recreational equipment, marine, and specialty vehicle markets and a wholly owned subsidiary of Winnebago Industries. Using a proprietary Battery Management System called NeverDie® Technology, it offers a broad range of standard and custom-designed battery configurations delivering “house power,” supporting internal electrical features and appliances for a variety of outdoor products for the marine and recreational vehicle markets. Other markets served include both house power and traction power for low-speed electric vehicle markets, as well as cell towers and industrial applications requiring ruggedized power systems. Lithionics makes the safest lithium-ion batteries on the market and are the only batteries which are UL 1973 approved for both stationary and motive applications.
The Vice President of Sales will to the President and be a member of the senior leadership team. This person will be an impactful and influential leader that inspires the Sales team, accelerates revenue, margin and market share through a thoughtfully planned strategy and flawless execution using both sales analytics and marketing tools. The primary focus of this person will be to develop and deploy a robust sales process to accelerate profitable revenue growth. This position will develop and drive year over year organic sales growth, and the execution of commercial strategies in alignment with the company’s core business strategies. The role will be responsible for building sales capabilities, through team and process enhancements.
Responsibilities
Key Areas of Responsibility ? Direct the business’ sales strategy by leading business strategic planning efforts and strategy development, forecasting, resource planning, and budgeting. ? Lead, coach, and motivate sales professionals to drive new business, deepen dealer relationships and strengthen partnerships with key influencers. ? Implement a key performance metrics driven approach that aligns with the culture while providing transparency into performance and trends. ? Builds, develops, and maintains strong relationships with dealer partner networks. ? Be a subject matter expert (SME) on the buyers of the business’ products, how and where they buy, and their buying criteria. Maintaining a clear customer journey roadmap is key. ? Develops, maintains, and reevaluates measurement processes to ensure growing market share. ? Maintain understanding of competitive landscape and how it impacts the business and customers. ? Obtains, allocates, and adjusts department resources to achieve departments objectives. ? Responsible for achieving annual sales revenue, margin, and market share goals. ? Provide sales revenue and margin forecasts to leadership as part of the monthly financial forecasting process. ? Understand customer insights and provide feedback for product development.
Desired Skills And Experience
This job will REQUIRE a person to relocate to the greater Tampa, FL market…no hybrid or remote work options will be considered. The company is looking for dynamic sales leader who has ideally been trained in a world-class company that has very strong business operations management cadences that have allowed them to go and take share in their sector, versus respond to what the market gives them. In addition, they would like to find a person who has also worked and had success in a smaller company where they have learned to build the crank rather than just turn it. This person will need to have sales leadership experience working for a company that sells premium priced technical products to OEMs that are sold on features and benefits rather than cost. Outside of the foundational elements/table stakes of a sales professional (process, systems, knows how to hire great talent, etc.), it is critical that this person have rigor around sales process while being a change agent and innovator that will set an outstanding, results oriented vision/strategy for the sales function for the next 5 years leading them to excellence and market share gain.
