Job Description of the Regional Finance Director for America

The Regional Finance Director for America overseas the accounting, controlling and finance functions of the group subsidiaries in North and South America. The group currently has footprint presence in the USA and Ecuador, and might expand into other American countries in the future. The Regional Finance Director will direct the financial affairs and conducts financial analysis, including preparing the interim and final (consolidated) financial statements for regional subsidiaries. The Regional Finance Director is responsible for managing the system of accounts as well as establishing major financial objectives, policies and procedures for the regional subsidiaries and will work closely with the group’s Global Financial Controller in various aspects.

The job opening is at Troy, Virginia and may require regional traveling if needed (during the COVID-19 pandemic, all traveling would follow local government regulations and rules and the safety of the travel has to be ensured). In addition, due to the global presences of the group, flexible working hours may be needed from time to time.

The primary job description for the Regional Finance Director includes the following major items:

· Maintain and oversee the accounting and reportings of each subsidiary in the region. Currently these subsidiaries are located at Troy (VA, USA), Dallas (TX, USA) and Guayaquil (Ecuador).

· Supervise affairs relating to (cross-border) book-keeping, accounting compliance, auditing, tax filing, management reporting, internal control, budgeting, working capital and cash flow management etc. of the regional subsidiaries, and continuously work on improvement of financial operations and data integrity.

· Conduct financial planning and analysis, sales analysis and reporting and production controlling of the regional subsidiaries on a regular basis.

· Work closely with the group’s Global Financial Controller (“GFC”) in preparing monthly operational dashboard packages and annual budget, as well as maintaining internal control system of the regional subsidiaries.

· Liaise with internal and external auditors for interim and final reporting.

· Any ad hoc duty assigned by the supervisor or the group.

Qualification of the Candidate

An ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

· High-integrity, motivated, independent but a team player

· Worked in a similar position and possess proven track records in successfully leading the global/regional financial and accounting function in a medium-sized company for at least 5 years

· Strong knowledge of accounting (IFRS a must) and finance, knowledge of accounting standards, and experience with the consolidation of international entities

• Willingness to observe and respect cultures of different countries when communicating with team members and/or customers and suppliers
• Willingness to ‘roll up the sleeves’ for works on their own and ability to multi-task and follow processes carefully and accurately
• Enthusiasm in problem solving
• Excellence in Microsoft Office and other commonly used corporate management tools. Knowledge in the Oracle system a plus
• BS/BA or above in Finance/Accounting or related fields
• Fluency in English a MUST; understanding Spanish and/or Mandarin Chinese a plus
