Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
• Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients
• Collect patient information, update medical records, and verify insurance coverage
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments
• Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient care
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address their concerns or questions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in medical administration is a plus
• Previous experience in a medical office, dental office, or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
• Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
