Job Description:

The Quality engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of the manufactured product by effectively monitoring the manufacturing processes according to the requirements of the product.

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

• Participate and comply with EHS standards.
• Ensure the monitoring of the quality system in the assigned channel group.
• Generate, modify, and update records and control plans.
• Monitor the generation and filling of quality records.
• Generate the necessary s for the channel group.
• Participation in internal audits, LPA, etc. according to the established program.
• Preparation of CPK’s s, analysis of control charts, scrap, etc.
• Clarify acceptance criteria and update defect manuals when applicable.
• Prepare quality alerts and notify the channel about complaints from customers.
• Generate and update procedures as needed.
• Communicate with customers and exchange information according to SKF rules.
• Handling of customer complaints and implementation of corrective action.
• Participate in APQP/PDP activities as required.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Participate in the creation and execution of their IDP.
• Promote an environment of respect and teamwork.
• Provide and participate in training as needed.
• Notify the STA about problems with suppliers.

Requirements:

• B.S. in an Engineering field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
• Ability to use the necessary computer software applications appropriate for this job (e.g. Outlook, M/S Office Suite, Minitab, etc.).
• 
  Knowledge/experience with Quality Management Systems:
  
  • ISO 9001.
  • AS9100.
  • IATF 16949.
  • or similar Standards is a plus.
• 
  Knowledge/experience with Original Equipment requirements:
  • PPAP, GD&T, FMEA, Control Plans, statistical methods are a plus.
• Knowledge of Compliance regulations is a plus.
• Experience in a Supplier Quality role is a plus.
• Knowledge/certification on 6s as Green Belt or Black belt is a plus.
