SITEX is a progressive, family-owned company that is looking for a full time Controller to join our Henderson, KY location . The Controller position will assist the President and Chief Financial Officer with all fiscal functions of the corporation. The major areas covered include but are not limited to: responsible for financial statements including all supporting schedules and analyses, the Company’s financial plans and policies, and manage all aspects of cash flow on an ongoing basis. This position is demanding and ideal candidates must be detail oriented and possess good organizational and communication skills.
Basic Functions: Direct the fiscal functions of the Corporation. Responsible for financial statements including all supporting schedules and analyses, the Company’s financial plans and policies. Manage all aspects of cash flow on an ongoing basis.
Responsibility & Principal Duties (include the following but do not necessarily constitute all essential functions of this position. Other duties may be assigned):
a. Participate in the development of the Corporation’s plans and programs as a tactical partner in evaluating and advising on the impact of long-range planning and regulatory action.
b. Review analyses of activities, costs, and forecast data to determine department or corporate progress compared to stated goals and objectives. Facilitate training with department managers as needed.
c. Provide strategic, financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the Corporation, i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers, profit sharing and investments; evaluate, recommend, and procure insurance coverage against property losses, liability, and health benefits.
d. Participate in the annual budget process, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, initiate corrective actions, control cost, maximize use of assets, review requests for capital investments and/or capital projects.
e. Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes. Determine depreciation rates and apply to capitalized items and advise on desirable operational adjustments due to tax revisions. Works with outside CPA firm and counsel as needed.
f. Control disbursements, oversee all bank balances, maintain lines of credit; recommend and coordinate cash investment vehicles; optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships; initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position; develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
g. Assist in development of the Company’s performance goals and bonus programs.
h. Serve as the Corporate Secretary to the Board of Directors; maintain all Corporate and Board records, including Board and Staff minutes. Participates in family and estate planning matters as needed
Job Requirements:
a. Can-do, get-the-job-done attitude, Team player
b. Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Management, Accounting, or Finance; CPA,MBA, CMA preferred.
c. Five years related experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and/or Multi- divisional experience preferred with an understanding of, but not limited to the following:
d. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Must be able to effectively and professionally present information to top managers, public groups and/or the Board of Directors.
e. Understanding of business, financial and accounting concepts
f. Proficient in Microsoft and accounting application software especially Excel and
Accounts Payable and Receivable data systems
g. Excellent interpersonal skills, especially listening, and negotiating.
h. Ability to respond and research common inquiries/complaints from Company management, team members, or customers and respond, follow-up and follow- through in a timely manner.
i. Valid driver’s license and insurable under Company’s current program
j. Must meet or exceed physical requirements outlined below
