Siteforce Australia is a Cairns based mine services company, providing processing plant relocation and projects nationally and internationally for the last 20 years.

To support our growth plans, we are now seeking a proven finance leader to join our team as Finance Controller based in Cairns, North Queensland.

About the Role
This role that reports to the Managing Director is “hands on” and will lead a small team to ensure all transactional financial duties are undertaken. Providing financial analysis and insights to support the growth of the business, this role is instrumental in working with the management team as we move to new projects and establish new market segments.

Your role will focus on:

• Completing month-end and financial reporting activities, with overall ownership of end-to-end accounting processes
• Producing accurate and informative reports for various stakeholders
• Performing weekly payroll for the team, and all relevant HR Documents for new employees.
• Continuously reviewing and improving business processes to support the growth and new opportunities, seeking productivity improvement.
• Managing commercial aspects of the business including leasing activities, insurance and compliance
• Hands on data entry and assist with all aspects of accounting processes as required.
• Working with management to prepare budgets, forecasts budgets & cash flows
• Asset management for the business Including Company vehicles and equipment

The successful candidate:

• Tertiary qualified with strong commercial acumen
• Enthusiasm, drive and be a self-motivated individual
• Ideally have project, manufacturing and/or experience with WIP
• Must be numerate with attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience with statutory tasks – ASIC, ATO, payroll tax
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
• Worked as a Finance Manager or equivalent for minimum 3 years
• Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching a team
