Role Overview:

Reporting to the site Finance Manager, you will be a crucial part of the finance team at a bakery which employs around 500 people and produces a range of high-quality products for major UK retailers.

You will be central to the efficient running of the finance operation and, working closely with your colleagues, will be key helping the site drive financial improvements and increase profits.

In this varied role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the senior leadership team by providing accurate reporting of key financial information and performance against business objectives
• Producing daily, weekly, and monthly financial information in line with management requirements and group deadlines
• Closing month-end overhead accounts, post accruals and repayments, and reviewing spends and balance sheet reconciliations with key stakeholders
• To own the annual budget and forecasting processes
• Ensuring robust reporting for site capital expenditure
• Producing key reports and providing financial information to internal and external auditors

About Us:

• Prior experience in a financial accountant role, preferbaly in a fast-paced environment, such as manufacturing, retail, or logisics.
• Highly organised and flexible, able to work accurately at pace to meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well with colleagues at levels across the business
• Adept at solving problems with a positive mindset and a ‘can do’ attitude
• Ideally CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, although we’re keen to hear from people working towards qualification or qualified by experience.
• Experience of SAP would also be an advantage
