Joining our Corporate Financial Accounting team, and reporting to the Financial Controller APAC, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the SIRVA AUNZ region meets its regulatory and compliance requirements, and to develop and implement Finance policies and procedures, which strengthen internal controls.

Key responsibilities

1. Preparation, providing assistance and lodgement of Company Tax (including transfer pricing), GST, Fringe Benefits Tax and Statutory returns within specified timeframes

2. Manage the company’s compliance with Accounting Standards and Tax Consolidation and Tax compliance

3. Manage external audit process

4. Approval of monthly Business Activity Statements

5. Oversee applications, renewals and changes to Company Business Names

6. Develop and implement policies and procedures designed to strengthen financial controls and meet compliance requirements – including conducting financial services license and internal site audit

7. Coordinate the Franchise Corporate Billing cost centre to ensure billing is completed on a timely basis and cost accruals are completed at month-end

8. Complete business surveys and lodge with authorities by due date.

About yourself

To complement our team, the ideal candidate will have:
1. CA/CPA qualification;

2. At least 5 years’ experience in the management of financial systems, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation and providing financial support;

3. Contemporary knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, legislation and standards;

4. Highly proficient and knowledge of auditing practices;

5. Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships and communicate with a diverse range of people both internal and external;

6. Team oriented and results focused.
