Sirius Instrumentation and Controls Inc. Hiring for Quality Inspector at Edmonton, AB Full Time

The Quality Inspector is responsible for measuring existing products against established Company standards determined by quality system. This includes inspecting finished goods, monitoring output, and analyzing trends for continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sample, test, and measure products to ensure they meet pre-determined quality standards, including ISO.
• Compare findings against customer, Company, and/or standard requirements.
• Ensure products are in accordance with established tolerance for quality and performance.
• Document all inspection activities, maintain accurate records, and provide input to the Quality and Production teams
• Issue non-conformance reports (Hold or Reject Tags) based on established quality levels
• Perform Root-cause analysis, corrective actions, follow up and reporting.
• Perform and generate inspection and test experiment reports.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI’s) or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) layouts as required.
• Fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Participate in Internal audits and all requirements of ISO 9001.
• Provide guidance to Production Workers, enabling them to perform the appropriate preliminary quality checks and inspections.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Quality Department.
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality role, preferably in manufacturing environment.
• Able to read and communicate verbally, and in writing, in the English language, as well as read and interpret Engineering Drawings and Purchase Orders to verify product compliance with established requirements.
• Must be mechanically inclined, with strong attention to details.
• Experience working in a fast-paced and highly changing environment with limited supervision.
• Motivated team player with superb interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management and documentation skills.
• Team oriented with the ability to work within a diverse workplace.
