The Quality Coordinator is primarily responsible for the Quality Management System throughout the facility, including the coordination of all activities associated with the creation/revision, internal quality audit and management of the corrective/preventive action system to ensure continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Update, monitor, manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Developing and managing QA/QC procedures, work instructions and inspection reports.
• Prepared and host internal/ external/ regulatory audits/inspections.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure staff are working in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
• Ensures appropriate quality processes and controls are in place to meet product quality requirements and standards.
• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization through the establishment and maintenance of KPIs.
• Organize the production and record keeping of quality and related reports, including Material Certificates.
• Handle customer complaints/inquiries, initiate complaint investigations, monitor trends and assess non-conformances
• Review and validate new and existing suppliers and manage supplier validation process.
• Coordinate with the warehouse on incoming materials.
• Proper filing of all QA/QC related documents.
• Prepare quality documents for turnover packages as required by customer specifications.
• Perform routine in-coming, in-process and first article inspection.
• Communicates with suppliers for quality issues and solving problems.
• Participate in Six Sigma, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing quality improvement initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with ISO 9001 QMS.
• Minimum 3 years QA/QC experience in production or manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in English with clear verbal and written communication skills (e-mails, reports, memos, Teams, presentations etc.)
• Experience with technical writing – including SOPs and other documentation.
• Ability to read mechanical part and assembly drawings.
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
• Adept computer skills including Microsoft Office suite of products – Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe and experience with ERP systems.
• Motivated to learn about new products / regulations / markets, etc.
• Six Sigma Lean/5S Methodology certificates an asset.
