Tantalum Mining Corporation (TANCO) owned by Sinomine (Hong Kong) Rare Metal Resources Co. Ltd. is a mining and manufacturing company located 60 kilometers Northeast of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba. With the operation of our Lithium process, we are looking for an Red Seal Electrician to join our team to continue to achieve our mission of transforming rare metal resources today, into products that shape our tomorrow.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily maintenance/repair pertaining to site and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work underground.
• Perform new installations and customizations to existing equipment.
• Respond to work orders, breakdowns, and emergency repairs in a quick and efficient manner.
• Carry out all work in a safe and professional manner complying with plant policies, procedures, and Workplace Health & Safety Regulations.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

Education/Certification

• Minimum Grade 12 (recommended)
• Electrician – Red Seal Certification.

Experience/Skills

• Experience in diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in instrumentation is desirable.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to lift, bend, twist in performing the functions.
• Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to moderate noise and odors.

Location of Work:

Bernic Lake, MB

Schedule:

Full-time, Day Shift, 40 hrs per week, 10 hr days.

Employment Type:

Hourly (Union)

Full time position for approximately 4 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.
