TERMS & CONDITIONS
· Temporary, Full-Time, Salaried (Maternity Leave)

· Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; Friday 7:30 am – 2 pm – ½ hour lunch

· Vacation entitlement: In accordance with Simson Maxwell’s “Human Resources Policies & Procedures.” (Vacation time cannot be taken during probationary period.)

RELATIONSHIPS

The Production Coordinator for Simson-Maxwell will develop, foster, and maintain good business and/or working relationships with the following:

· Manufacturing Supervisor/Technicians

· Purchasers, Parts, Service, Administration

· Sales Manager

· Other Simson-Maxwell Staff

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and developing production work orders on a daily or weekly basis to meet goals. Other responsibilities include CSA record maintenance and label creation for all jobs and operations/service manuals.

· Create, monitor, close, and analyze production work orders in accordance with the standard best practices from the Project Manager

· Conduct visual and high-level quality inspections of major equipment

· Coordinate with production, purchasing, and finance teams to expedite orders

· Work with Project Manager to review production specifications; identify and report plant capacity constraints

· Work with Project Manager to co-ordinate with service for testing of generators

· Ensure materials and equipment are pre-arranged for production

· Ensure all parts are charged to respective sales orders before closing in system

· Work with the Project Manager to execute and implement process improvements

· Work with Project Manager to develop potential solutions to improve production performance

· Pick out parts per kit list with corresponding tagging to maximize production efficiency

· Sign off on work orders; verifying correct parts and quantity charged out in NAV

· De-kit (return to inventory of unused) parts from the production & panel shop upon completion of work orders

· Create branch transfers

· Manage Production Department inventory with cycle counts

· Generate material requisitions on stock shortage

QUALIFICATIONS

· Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation or equivalent, Operations Management Diploma is an asset

· Prefer 1 – 2 years’ experience in Production Management/Coordination

· Experience with using Microsoft NAV is an asset

· Utilization of MS Office and fluent in Excel

· Knowledge of generator parts and electrical & mechanical fittings is an asset
