Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join our team and support with the implementation of talent activities across the Australia and New Zealand business.

Reporting to the Talent & Culture Manager, you will work with leaders to fulfill immediate talent needs, and collaborate with the broader HR team to develop a robust, strategic talent function.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Form strong and credible relationships with hiring managers
• Support leaders with sourcing, attracting, selecting and engaging candidates to Sims
• Implement creative sourcing strategies
• Build partnerships with educational institutions and industry groups to establish brand presence and build diverse talent pools
• Organise and participate in job fairs and recruitment events
• Coach leaders on best recruitment practices, to facilitate a positive candidate experience and help build Sims’ reputation as an employer of choice
• Support with delivery of workshops to enable effective recruitment practices across the business

To be successful in this opportunity, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, you enjoy building relationships with leaders and candidates in both white and blue collar environments
• Creativity in your approach – you like to tailor sourcing / advertising approaches to ensure we’re reaching the right candidates
• Knowledge of best practice, you enjoy keeping up with industry trends
• High attention to detail with a process-oriented approach, to provide consistent and timely service
• Experience with an HCM such as Success Factors will be highly advantageous!
