Simply Delicious Inc is Looking for Warehouse Assistant Full Time

Paying $19.00 per hour working days. Monday to Friday as needed, no weekends.

Simply Delicious is a small family owned niche distributor for frozen Foods, delivering to areas locally and South Western Ontario. We value candidates that can offer a variety of skills, especially in food handling. An eye for detail is essential for accurate order fulfillment and must be comfortable working in a low temperature environment, freezer / cooler. Primary duties are to assist in preparing orders for distribution and if able to also drive company van occasionally to complete local deliveries would be an asset

Responsibilities:

· Receiving and unpacking incoming products, rotating product so older products are sold first

· Picking, packing and preparing orders and working on Vacuum packing machines

· Perform a variety of physically demanding general labour duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually picking orders

· Entering and printing of labels

· Communicating all shortages or discrepancies within an order to the Supervisor

· Responsible for the ongoing sanitizing of work area

· Following all health and safety procedures

· Ensuring all work areas are free from obstruction and that all strapping, shrink-wrapping, and empty boxes are always cleared.

· Perform basic quality control checks which include, weighing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.

· Select product accurately in all climates (coolers, and freezer)

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Relevant working experience in a food related environment preferred

· Experience with computers and asset.

· Demonstrates solid communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based work environment.

· Secondary school diploma preferred

· First Aide certificate is an asset
