About our Role
- Direct report to the Senior Finance Manager – Retail
- Provide key business insights to deliver strategic direction
- Trusted Finance Business Partner
Due to business growth we have now have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic and growing business focusing on our Retail Channel.
What will you do
- Partner with the Senior Finance Manager – Retail in the development of the Retail channel strategy through exemplary finance leadership
- Key player in the development and execution of the strategy
- Provide commercial insights on the drivers of category and customer performance and profitability
- Co-ordinate and manage the LRP build, including the accurate capture of commercial assumptions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Provide analysis, evaluations and implications of key learnings that will be applied in the development of future best practices
- Identify and adopt process simplification and cost efficiencies for the category
- Partner the Senior Finance Manager – Retail in building financial awareness/knowledge of the Retail Sales teams
- Build the finance brand across the wider division and provide thought leadership on matters impacting financial performance
About you
- Finance professional with tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Business, who holds a CPA qualification (or is studying towards CPA)
- Significant business partnering experience ideally within FMCG and/or Retail
- Significant work experience in any accounting position and have an ability to analyse data
- You will bring sound financial management skills such as balance sheet reconciliations, capital expenditure and be willing to engage in analytics and modelling to add value
- Strong understanding of financial information systems and databases, with strong excel and financial modelling skills
- Your proactive nature and strong work ethic will allow you to work well within a team environment, and your analysis and communication skills will be important
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build robust relationships
