The Position.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a newly created position within our small but close National HR team. Reporting to the HR Manager in Brisbane, you will work across all our Australian based operations, partnering with hiring managers and HR stakeholders to drive the delivery of end-to-end recruitment and talent search services. The position will cover the full scope of internal recruitment processes across a variety of roles and locations within the broader Group. You will have a proactive and initiative approach to talent searches, be comfortable with change, and enjoy the challenge of working within fast paced environments whilst adding value to the candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities.

• Delivering end-to-end recruitment across the business, including the development of sourcing strategies and content, the interpretation of assessment results and the development of customised competency-based interview worksheets and reference checks.
• Contributing to the creation of talent pipelines and talent pools for our business through events, technology solutions and networking.
• Support the HR team and be able to multitask with an openness to support the team in the areas of employee induction, employee engagement, and learning and development when required.
• Work closely with hiring managers to guide and coach them through the recruitment process and ensure objective hiring decisions are made.
• Providing a superior customer experience to both candidates and managers with every interaction.

Skill & Experience.

• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• 3+ years’ experience in end-to-end recruitment and selection or talent acquisition (preferably as an internal recruiter for a medium-large company).
• Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems and/or web-based recruitment systems.
• A demonstrated ability to coach line managers in best practice selection processes with the capability to influence best fit decisions.
• Ability to build enduring, productive, and trusting relationships with Managers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
