About the role

In this role, you will be working closely with the Commercial Division’s Transport operating businesses – Palfinger and Transport Engineering Solutions. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for

• Assisting the accounting team with month end reporting processes including posting journals, calculations of accruals and performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with reconciliations of client and supplier accounts to statements
• Assist with statutory reporting requirements including BAS, IAS and Payroll tax returns
• Compile payroll data for submission to Payroll department for processing
• Assisting in ensuring CAPEX requirements are adhered to and within budget
• Assist with processing of payments
• Assisting in the preparation of cashflow forecasts
• Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality at all times of sensitive information
• Assist in the arrangement of travel bookings as required across the two businesses

Your skills and experience

• Proven experience similar role
• Previous knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, book-keeping desirable
• Demonstrable practical accounting knowledge
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to prioritise and work to tight timeframes
• Positive attitude and a great team player
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals
• Competent with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel

Preferably, this role will be Brisbane based at our Wacol head office, however, alternative locations specifically TES head office in Melbourne will be considered for the right candidate.
