Job Description:

The Corporate Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing the financial records for the US Corporate entity and other US and Canadian entities, including month end close responsibilities. Additionally, the Corporate Senior Accounting will be responsible for the revenue and receivables cycle for the corporate sales entity.

The Corporate Senior Accountant will report to and work closely with the Operational Accounting Senior Manager and others in the organization.

The Day to Day

• Prepare and record accrual and other month end close journal entries.

• Prepare reconciliations and work papers for a number of areas including:

  • Cash and cash equivalents

  • Marketable securities and term deposits

  • Prepaid expenses

  • Fixed assets

  • Accrued liabilities.

• Help maintain a system of recurring monthly interactions with corporate and the international site accounting organizations for communication and review of monthly results and issue escalation.

• Assist site finance teams with operational accounting issues and review the monthly reporting packages.

• Assist with the preparation and review of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and variance analyses.

• Participate in strategic financial projects including upgrades/phase-two implementation of ERP software.

• Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.

Is This You?

• 3+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or other related field

• CPA preferred

• Big 4 certified public accounting firm and/or large SEC registrant experience preferred

• Mining industry experience a plus

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP and OneStream strongly preferred

• Intermediate to advanced Excel experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Deadline-oriented and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $84,000 to $120,000
