Education Manager

Sigma currently has an opening for an Education Manager. This is a full-time day shift exempt position working remotely from home Monday-Friday.

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the business planning, implementation, evaluation, synthesis, and overall success of the education department for Sigma Theta Tau International.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Perform the duties of Lead Nurse Planner in the Provider Unit responsible for planning, implementing, quality improvement, and evaluating continuing educational activities to award ANCC contact hours per accreditation criteria.
· Maintain ANCC accreditation, as Lead Nurse Planner, within the Provider Unit. Duties include preparation of the annual report, re-accreditation application, quality improvement, educating Nurse Planners, etc.
· Strategic planning, content identification and procurement, management and delivery of continuing professional development, specifically online courses, and programs.
· Plan and coordinate promotion of continuing professional development with Marketing, Sigma Marketplace, and other stakeholders.
· Develop, implement, and evaluate the business planning process in the Education Department.
· Recruit and collaborate with authors, presenters, and reviewers of society’s continuing professional development programs.
· Be fiscally responsible in the development, monitoring, and management of budgets and resources for Education Department cost centers.
· Provide the leadership and project management to develop comprehensive continuing professional programs for members, non-members, and staff.
· Compose, organize, and/or deliver presentations on topics such as courseware, accreditation procedures, etc.
· Oversee programming and deliverables that utilize the learning management system.
