Full Job Description

Are you ready to use your leadership and skills in a Logistics Supervisor position? This is your opportunity! As a Logistics Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for assisting with contract related logistics efforts and successfully managing all logistics and depot support issues for our programs. You’ll guide the resources required to execute contracts in a cost effective and timely manner, interface with the customer and support customer requests, maintain responsibility for the logistics support function, and the development and execution of customer training programs and materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for your actions and responsible for the actions of your team.
  • Responsible for the continued growth of our Leaders.
  • Monitors productivity and ensures that our processes are being upheld. Review corporate processes and provides updates based on scope requirements.
  • Produce high quality ing on-demand to leadership to status daily deliverables/queue counts.
  • Allocates team resources as required to complete daily task based on operational tempo.
  • Assist team in creating schedules and assuring that it aligns to management’s expectations prior to submitting to leadership.
  • Scheduling and executing quarterly cycle count events, and consistently producing industry leading inventory accuracy results, remaining impartial and hosting after action reviews of cycle events to further improve and mitigate material loss.
  • Function as subject matter experts in all warehouse disciplines. Training, equipping, and empowering all employees to execute within process and support the mission to the highest level possible.
  • Monitors proper Time Keeping, per government compliance requirements
  • Oversees warehouse visits from internal and external customers, allocating space and physical resources, as required.
  • Ensures that all training requirements are assigned and completed with in prescribed time.
  • Assures consistent flow of material to production and allocates additional resources as needed.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and reasonable/consistent turn times for Logistics Support requests.
  • Responsible for change management, continuous growth, and stimulating a strong desire for innovation.


Must-haves:

  • Relevant experience working with logistics/warehouse environment and warehouse management systems

  • Familiarity with the practical application of Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques

  • Ability to travel extensively, often overseas

  • Working Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES)

  • Experience using Deltek / Cost Point

  • Experience using MS Office 365 Suite

  • Experience using working with MS Teams

  • An active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required


Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study and typically 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Familiarity with operating military units, airborne SIGINT systems and aircraft sensor equipment
  • Prior experience with handling and managing hazardous/dangerous goods and materials
  • Understanding of ITAR regulations as they apply to the import and export of goods
  • Current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and clean driving record
  • Understanding of third party shipping vendors and requirements
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
