What we’re looking for

Are you a graduate or early-stage career C/C++ programmer who would be interested in writing software to communicate with our embedded technology? Based out of our Cambridge or Bristol offices, we’re hiring for an Embedded System Software Engineer to join our growing team here at Tessent Embedded Analytics (part of Siemens EDA). If you can you see yourself learning, growing, and succeeding in this exciting position and would relish the opportunity help shape the development of Tessent EA’s ground-breaking silicon IP then we would love to meet you!

What you’ll be doing

You will be a part of a team implementing world leading in-chip analytics and control technology. You will learn in detail how these chips are designed, built and tested both at bring-up and in-life.

What you’ll bring

• C or C++ development experience
• A knowledge of current CPU architectures such as ARM or RISC-V.
• A solid grasp of TDD principles and agile development methods.

Nice to have

• Use of Python (including Pytest) and Bourne shell for test scripts.
• POSIX
• Embedded programming
• Knowledge and use of test frameworks such as CppUnit.
• Experience with GitLab, Jenkins and JIRA for development.
