Due to the continuous growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant / Trainee Project Accountant to join out team in Rail Infrastructure on a full-time, permanent basis in Ashby de la Zouch. In this role, you will work closely with the finance, commercial and project teams supporting the day-to-day financial management of projects. Your primary focus will be on SISS (Station Information & Security Systems) projects whilst supporting the wider finance team.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting Financial management of projects and business unit reporting
• Reporting into Project Accountant for SISS portfolio unit all financials, forecast, opportunities and risks. Preparing reports as required
• Provide information and support to stakeholders enabling control of financials and risks
• Supporting ICFR compliance
• Assisting the team to ensure all records are maintained to an auditable standard.

What experience/skills do you need to apply for the role?

• Preferably (but not essential) a knowledge of SAP systems
• A willingness to learn and develop
• Ideally excellent Excel and general IT skills
• Ability to interpret and apply accounting and other relevant guidelines
• A team player
• A desire to succeed in studying towards a professional qualification (preferably CIMA)
