You are the liaison between your team and upper management. Your main focus is motivating, mentoring, and managing your team. As a people manager, you ensure that your team has all the tools needed to succeed in any task during a shift.
You provide direction and leadership to the team and have a hands-on approach to health & safety, productivity, yields, equipment operation, training, quality, and continuous improvement within your department.
With more than 100,000 products installed worldwide, your efforts will ensure a highly motivated work environment and the highest quality and reliability of products for our customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Take initiative and exercise timely and good judgment in the day-to-day business decisions and activities.
Drive key performance indicators for the area of responsibility (i.e., line speeds, efficiency, waste, labor costs, compliance to schedule, etc.).
Keep updated on performance measurements and apply corrective actions where necessary.
Work in partnership with the Maintenance department to assist in the prevention/rectification of breakdowns.
Document and maintain accurate records with respect to employee performance, product quality, daily reconciliation, health and safety, and payroll.
Involvement in safety audits, identification of hazards and corrections, and other preventative approaches.
Execute accident investigations in a timely and accurate fashion and carry out any follow-up required as a result of the investigation.
What You Bring
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Adept at the ability to motivate others in a deadline-focused environment
Ability to evaluate and dive deep into data to provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions
Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
Mindset and vision to lead change management initiatives
Minimum five years of experience within a manufacturing environment; minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
