Sidwell Friends School Hiring for Fifth Grade Teacher Job at Washington, DC Full Time

Sidwell Friends School, a co-educational Quaker day school with campuses Bethesda, MD, and Washington, DC, seeks a fifth grade teacher with a minimum of three years of upper elementary experience for its Middle School (Grades 5-8). The successful candidate must understand the age group, be able to work cooperatively with other teachers, be excited about working with children from diverse backgrounds, appreciate Quaker philosophy, and be competent in language arts, mathematics and social studies instruction. The fifth grade teacher will also be expected to teach an advisory program and maintain thorough communication with parents.
A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s in education is preferred.
Teaching positions at Sidwell Friends School are campus-based; therefore, this position requires teaching in person. This position begins in August 2022.
