Side Tracks Bar & Grill Hiring for Experienced Kitchen Manager/Chef Full Time

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to supervise daily back of house restaurant operations in a busy restaurant/bar. Side Tracks Bar & Grill is a family owned train-themed restaurant serving fresh food with lots of opportunities. Closed Mondays. Our kitchen manager works with the staff and fills in when needed.

Skills

• Minimum of 5 years management experience.
• Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
• Serv Safe certification necessary.
• Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
• Excellent organizational skills
• Conflict management abilities
• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
• Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
• Supervise food prep and cooking
• Jump on the line when needed to ensure adequate ticket times.

• Check food plating and temperature
• Establish portion sizes
• Schedule kitchen staff shifts
• Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed

• Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
• Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
• Keep weekly and monthly cost s

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
