Shrewsbury Colleges Group has an exciting opportunity for a Vice Principal Technical & Vocational Education. As a member of the senior leadership team the successful candidate will lead on technical and vocational education for 16-18 year olds and adults, including the college’s Higher Education provision. The role has responsibility for developing our curriculum and ensuring the delivery of high quality education. This includes development of the college’s T level provision.
As a member of a well-established eight person senior leadership team you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the technical and vocational curriculum from Level 1 to Level 7, delivered at our London Road campus. This includes ensuring provision meets the skills needs of Shropshire and the West Midlands and that every one of our students makes outstanding progress. You must have a clear focus on ensuring the development of excellence in teaching, learning and assessment in accordance with the College’s vision, mission and strategic objectives. You will drive and support the continuous professional development of five experienced curriculum leaders to maximise their potential. You will yourself be an outstanding teacher.
To be successful in this role, candidates must have experience of delivery and management in a further education college, or sixth form college with significant vocational provision. HE experience will be an advantage.
