Showbie Hiring for Learning Executive Job at New South Wales Full Time

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Learning Development (APAC), Showbie’s new Learning Executive will be responsible for working with teachers, schools and learning organisations to embed the use of Showbie tools through training, facilitation of professional learning, mentoring, coaching and acting as a critical friend to education leaders.

You’ll be an experienced teacher who can show how to utilise our technology to maximise student learning. You’ll draw on your experience of the Australian Curriculum and contemporary pedagogies to co-build powerful learning experiences with Showbie.

You understand the needs of teachers as learners and how to build their capacity in using technology to maximise learning. You’ll be comfortable working with school leaders to strategically plan for teaching and learning success.

You’ll work closely with our Partnership Executive and Relationship Facilitator to support our schools throughout their journey with Showbie. Regular domestic travel will be required with this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate professional learning events in both face to face and online modes.
• Mentor and coach teachers to integrate our technology into their existing practices.
• Act as a critical friend to leaders as they plan teaching and learning initiatives with our technology.
• Provide training and on-boarding for schools new to our tools.
• Develop educational content to demonstrate how Showbie workflows can be used to meet curriculum and pedagogy goals.
• Help educators measure the impact Showbie is having on their practice and student learning.
• Support and build capacity in our Showbie Learning Professionals network.
• Support the Head of Learning Development (APAC) and the APAC Team in developing key initiatives for the region.
• Collaborate with your global counterparts on key initiatives.

You

• Are a qualified teacher with 5+ years experience working at primary or secondary level.
• Have experience providing professional learning, training and coaching for teachers.
• Have a passion for curriculum and pedagogy, and how technology can be harnessed to positively amplify learning.
• Are self-motivated, have good time management and are highly organised in your work.
• Are a strategic thinker who is proactive in identifying and building out new opportunities.
• Love helping others to succeed and gain satisfaction from helping teachers, schools and team mates to be successful in their work.
• Have excellent oral, written and technological communication skills.
• Are a confident user of Apple Technologies including Keynote and iMovie.
• Are based in Australia in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

Bonus Points

• Strong knowledge of Showbie.
• Teaching and learning focused technology certifications e.g. Showbie Certified Educator, ISTE Certified Educator.
