Job Summary
The post is involved in delivering programmes of anti-racism education to young people and adults throughout Wales and occasionally across the UK, working with the team to help organise anti-racism events, reporting, monitoring, and evaluating the work. The role may also include developing and delivering longer term education programmes for young people and adults.
Key Tasks
· Delivering anti-racism workshops to young people across Wales both face to face and online
· Working with other members of the SRtRC team to develop new educational activities
· Representing SRtRC at meetings and communication where appropriate.
· Training educators and other adults as appropriate
· Helping with the organisation and delivery of SRtRC events in Wales
· Administration around the post such as producing reports and collating feedback
· Evaluation of educational workshops
· To undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as decided by the Chief Executive
Key Outcomes
· Implementation of agreed programme of educational activities in Wales
· The delivery of high standard workshops and events, which will educate and inform, primarily but not exclusively, young people on anti-racism issues
· Comprehensive feedback on the outputs and outcomes of the educational programmes
· Continued funding and support of the education work in Wales
Achieved By
· Implementation of the agreed educational and other work programmes
· Regular monitoring and evaluation of education work against funding objectives
· Assisting with the development of anti-racism educational materials

Skills, Knowledge, and abilities
Essential
· Strong commitment to anti-racism, a knowledge and understanding of racism and a passion to fight inequality
· Excellent facilitation skills and ability to engage diverse groups of participants
· Excellent communications skills
· Ability to meet specific deadlines under pressure.
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
· Competent in the use of Microsoft office package
· A firm belief in child protection and understanding of safeguarding
· Due to some of the Welsh rural locations visited, candidates must have the ability to travel across Wales independently.
Desirable
· Understanding of how to build strong education programmes, considering learning objectives and outcomes to maximise impact
· An understanding of the societal impact of inequality and oppression, and the systemic nature of racism
· An understanding of the Welsh Education system and curriculum
· Knowledge of Welsh Minority Ethnic community and issues affecting them.
· Ability to speak Welsh.
