Shorterm are pleased to be working with a leading oil manufacturer who work hard at improving UK food security, reducing imports & food miles. Based in Stratford-Upon-Avon, they pride themselves on innovation.

They are looking for two Electrical bias Engineers to join their team due to the site going through a period of expansion, so there is plenty to get involved with. You will perform as a team member or independently to trouble-shoot, diagnose, and propose and implement electrical power and control equipment process control component repair solutions.

Your day to day will look like:
* Ensuring all routine PPM task are completed on time, safely and to the site food and feed safety standards & optimisation and upkeep of electrical spare parts onsite further develop, optimise, and improve site maintenance regime.
* Working collaboratively with the maintenance manager, ensure that personnel are aware, trained and perform work according to any relevant legislation, and according to standard procedures and risk assessments which are complete and adequate.
* Support with the control and setting of the site Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance budget and provide appropriate management of expenditure whilst ensuring all key preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed to schedule.
* Design and/or specification of test boxes, cables, equipment, software, and systems to facilitate testing of electrical and electronic equipment.
* Take ownership for the site electrical standards and ensure that they meet legal, corporate, and local electrical requirement including safety standards.
* Provide Leadership to drive continuous improvement and improve equipment reliability (including the areas of maintenance performance, plant reliability, and safety, health, and environmental performance)
* Take responsibility for Communication and interaction with the Engineering and Technical Manager on all new projects to ensure they are compliant with site standards and the requirements of plant maintenance schedules.
* Support ongoing Assessment and approval of Electrical contractor companies, including auditing performance and managing site activities.
* Assisting, where required, with the installation of new process equipment, modifications, and project work.

Their ideal engineer will be able to demonstrate:
* Strong electrical background – Time served and experience with inverters, relays, sensors, temperature probes, pressure sensors, motors, 3-phase /single phase electricity, reading electrical / mechanical drawings.
* Electrical fault finding – PLCs, SCADA systems, instrumentation etc.
* Positive, high energy and proactive approach to maintenance and safety.
* Experience working with profibus and other communication networks.
* An electrical engineering city and guilds / apprenticeship is required.
* Some mechanical knowledge and skills required for on-call element of role.
* Hold an electrical qualification such as 17th or 18th edition (desirable but they will train).
* Previously worked within a food production environment (desirable but they will train).
* High voltage training experience (desirable but they will train)
