We’re looking for a Finance Manager to build out finance support for the APAC region.

In this highly visible role, you will be an executive-level connector across functions both in the region and globally. You will lead business and financial modeling in support of investment decisions across a diverse set of market environments. In addition, you will architect and facilitate seamless planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes that drive visibility to growth levers for the region. The financial reporting suite you create will help leaders across functions understand the return on investment across countries and initiatives.

This role is for a finance leader who is eager to build in an exciting environment. The position will report to the Director of Commercial Finance.

Projects you could work on:

• Providing valuable thought partnership to teams designing and executing APAC’s Go-to-Market (Commercial) strategies

• Establishing new reporting and segmentation frameworks, in conjunction with our Data and Business Operations teams, to help leadership better understand drivers of the APAC business

• Leading annual investment planning processes across Finance and Commercial teams to define 1-year and long-term goals and budgets

• Partnering across functions to ensure financial targets and objectives are optimally allocated

• Designing and implementing process improvements to help the Finance team scale to support Shopify’s continued acceleration, working in close partnership with the Business Operations team

This is a remote position only available to candidates who are currently based in Australia.

• A proven track record of FP&A business partnership across various regions

• Other relevant experience includes investment banking, management consulting, corporate accounting or asset management

• Experience supporting businesses in varying stages of growth and complexity, ideally with exposure to International markets

• Proven track record of driving significant impact in complex business situations

• Deep expertise in financial modeling and strategic business planning

• A growth mindset, a builder’s mentality, and a proven history of effective execution

• The ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous work environment and to navigate through change

• Superior written and verbal communication skills, business partnering expertise, and an excellent ability to mentor and teach

• Experience leading and building high-performing teams

• Experience creating business cases in a fast-growth business

• Experience in tech or other SAAS-based business models
