We are an online discovery & ticketing platform. From celebratory club nights, and concerts, to comedy nights, networking events & more. As a Y Combinator-backed start-up developing disruptive technology for the events industry we have big plans.

We’re searching for a talented and passionate Lead Software Engineer who wants an opportunity to join our growing business. We currently work with a 3rd party software development company however due to our incredible growth within the UK & US markets we are now looking to move our development hub internally.

What are the key responsibilities?

As our first Lead Software Engineer, your role is to lead the design, development and architecture of our end-to-end product, whilst helping us build and grow our technical team e.g., Jnr Devs & QAs. As the Lead Engineer, you will report directly to our CEO your responsibilities include:

Technical Responsibilities

• Produce effective and efficient clean code
• Integrate and maintain payment software such as stripe
• Lead the technical contribution to architecture and code of new features
• Develop and collaborate on product roadmaps
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.

Your Professional Experience

• Minimum 4 years of Ruby on Rails experience
• Front-end technologies HTML5, CSS and JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with developing on AWS, Google Cloud, and Foursquare and using their SDKs
• Persistence (mainly SQL, specifically PostgreSQL), some NoSQL.
• Knowledge of best practices in automated testing, Automated deployment, Continuous Integration code quality etc.
• Experience managing a technical team
