V/Line is Victoria’s regional public transport operator, providing passenger rail and coach services across Victoria and into New South Wales, South Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director, People and Integrity the Director, Talent consults widely to build a comprehensive talent strategy. Collaborating and partnering with key internal and external partners to develop a strategic approach to talent management, the role exists to ensure V/Line has access to the talent it needs, when it needs it. Responsible for the design and delivery of workforce plans to meet the changing resourcing needs of the organisation, this will include developing, integrating and maintaining policies, programs, reporting and governance, and coordinating the operational delivery of core talent resourcing. Critical to this role will be adopting a contemporary approach to, and leadership of, end-to-end talent mobility as well as influencing, and consulting on, priority pipelines and solutions.
About you
With tertiary qualifications in business or Human Resource Management, you are a strategic talent acquisition leader with extensive experience implementing and managing an organisation-wide talent strategy. You have a track record in significantly improving people and business performance, and delivering strong results in competitive markets. Commercial, creative and driven, you are relationship-based with deep interpersonal skills, enabling solution-focused partnering in complex stakeholder environments. Your reputation as an impactful senior executive is underpinned by your credibility, collaborative style and exceptional influencing ability. Harness your strategic expertise to play a key role in advancing the mission of V/Line as the national leader in regional transport and as a trusted public sector body.
