Role Description:

We are looking for a General Manager to lead our Australia expansion. You will be responsible for managing staff, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring customer satisfaction and proper departmental operation. You will have a hands-on approach and be committed to the expansion & success of the business by implementing strategies that adapt to the local market and gain market share to hit revenue goals.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for building, leading and growing ShipBob’s Australian market.
• Manage the full Australian P/L and create a strategic plan to push market growth initiatives as we continue to scale rapidly.
• Navigate rapidly evolving expectations/rules/protocols within the e-commerce industry (i.e. fulfillment speed, carrier rules, regulatory changes, etc.).
• Manage performance KPIs, identify and track key metrics and plan continuous improvement efforts for the markets.
• Lead all go-to-market efforts for the ANZ region.
• Lead efforts in Key account sales.
• Manage the inside sales team and end to end process to hit the revenue goals.
• Work with our Merchant Care, Sales and Customer Service teams to establish internal SLA’s that translate to exceptional merchant experience, customer guarantees and satisfaction scores.
• Use data driven reports and analyses to identify avenues for continuous improvement and propose solutions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
• Hire, train, coach and motivate managers and team members in your region. You will be responsible for setting the team’s goals and managing them.
• Share knowledge with other locations and headquarters on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders on market development.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, General Management or a related field, preferred.
• 7+ years of executive leadership experience in logistics or e-Commerce environments.
• Thorough knowledge of end to end go to market processes including inside sales.
• A desire to get your hands dirty in a growing company where your work matters and is vital to our success.
• Ability to travel up to 30%, required.
