SHINE Technologies is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee inbound and outbound freight, transportation scheduling, and freight contract negotiations.

This position ensures timely and accurate import and export documentation practices and understands / adheres to both domestic and international shipping regulations.

The Logistics Manager works cross-functionally within Supply Chain, Operations and Sales and will intimately support the customer fulfillment process to allow for more efficiency and better output at the direction of the Supply Chain Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Specific duties and responsibilities of the Logistics Manager include, but are not limited to :

• Oversee the packaging / shipping process, ensuring all regulatory package and labeling requirements are followed prior to shipment presentation
• Implement standard import / export processes by region or country
• Monitor and manage all RAD Type A and Type B packaging certifications, supply, and supplier relationships to ensure compliance and effectiveness
• Manage the freight quoting and contracting process for both inbound and outbound freight expense
• Drive freight cost reductions through analysis, process streamlining, and contract negotiation
• Schedule all customer outbound transportation requests for radioactive materials ensuring all regulatory documentation is accurate and concise
• Provide customs clearance instruction where required
• Monitor final customer delivery and alleviating any delays or holds.
• Facilitates resolution of issues by arranging and participating in conferences between suppliers, carriers, customers, and cross-functional company personnel
• Able to perform the above duties and tasks in relation to project timelines with crucial delivery dates
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or other technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and / or years of experience preferred
• A minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience
• Experience with shipping Hazmat Class 7 radioactive materials is a plus
• Knowledge of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work in a team environment and to take directions as well as think independently
• Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• The right candidate will be comfortable with accountability and deadlines as they support / own the project timeline
