MEDICAL RECORDS/DATA SPECIALIST – ENTRY LEVEL

It’s the details that matter! ShimSpine is looking for a motivated, team player with critical thinking skills to join us as a Medical Records/Data Specialist. As part of our team, you will be using a patented, industry-leading software application to prepare, review and analyze medical data. Our ideal candidate will have proficiency in using a computer, have familiarity with medical terminology and a prior background working in a medical practice or healthcare setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

· The primary requirement is ability to read, understand and prepare medical records for developing case summaries.

· Must understand medical terminology

· Excellent computer skills including ability to navigate various software applications.

· Attention to detail and accuracy of work is a must.

· Must be a team player with strong communication skills and commitment for quality improvement.

· Strong work ethic. Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.

· Willingness to continually learn new medical knowledge and new concepts.

· Must be able to stand/sit for long durations on a daily basis.

· Prior experience working in a medical or legal practice is a plus.

· Prior CPT/ICD10 coding experience is a plus
