We are currently recruiting for an experienced Product Manager to join our Shimano Australia Fishing division on a permanent full-time basis.
The primary duties will include but are not limited to;
· Maintain relationships and processes with manufacturers and Shimano Incorporated (SIC) to ensure compliance with Shimano vendor systems.
· Manage all aspects of Product life cycle from market research to product inception to fulfill market needs and overall business objectives.
· Maintain product spec sheets.
· Manage the sample process and to SIC Planning and factories.
· Design and develop new ranges with market trends and needs in mind to meet the market.
· Monitor and on stock levels and inventory to ensure company targets and metrics are met.
· and suggest exit strategy for end-of-life products.
· Manage pricing of products to ensure they meet the market
· Research and Identify trends in the market and propose proactive product strategies.
· Work to increase market share in all categories
Ideally candidates will need to possess:
· 5 years’ experience in a similar role
· Be highly proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
· High levels of commercial and numeracy skills
· Analytically minded
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Pronto ERP
· Strong fishing / industry knowledge (preferred)
· Experience with Soft Goods & Apparel (preferred)
This position is an office-based role situated in our Head Office in Caringbah. This role would suit an individual who is familiar with the fishing and outdoor industry, but it is not limited to industry experience. The successful candidate will need the preparedness to travel domestically and internationally.
